WARNING!
Reports are being filed against trespassers!
From April through August, the coastal area on the northwest side of Koraal Tabak is strictly closed due to the annual breeding season of the least terns (Sternula antillarum antillarum).
It is strictly forbidden to enter this fenced and signposted area (on foot, in vehicles, or on quads). Doing so disrupts these vulnerable birds and their eggs.
Active surveillance via security cameras is in place, and official police reports will be filed immediately upon violation. Violations are punishable under Article 33 of the Nature Conservation Ordinance, with penalties of up to 4 years in prison and/or a fine of up to 1 million Caribbean Guilders.
Thank you for helping us protect our local wildlife!
